Naomi Ellen Watts was born 28 September 1968. She made her film debut in Australia in For Love Alone (1986) that was followed by three tv shows: Hey Dad.. (1990), Brides of Christ (911) and Home and Away (1991) and Flirting (1991). Watts relocated to America in 2000. She struggled initially as an actor. In reality, she was only able to fill tiny roles in films, before becoming a aspiring actress in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive psychological thriller. She gained international recognition by playing the role. Watts was then cast as a tortured journalist in The Ring (2002).
