Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn, born May 12, 1972 is an American actress. She is well-known for her role as attorney Kim Wexler in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-present), in which she has been two-time winner of the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She also appeared on the NBC show Whitney (2011-2013) and ABC's I'm with Her (2003-2004), and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011-2014). Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native was born on May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary for the United States Navy, her father was an agent in Naval Investigative Service. The family was based in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and traveled extensively throughout her childhood. Following the footsteps of her father and grandmother She was interested in painting, drawing and architecture at an early age. As she continued to pursue her love of the visual arts, she developed a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theatre at the time of her college. She graduated from George Mason University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. Seehorn at the time of her college graduation, wanted to go into the theater after being encouraged by her acting instructor. She took on a variety of assistant roles within the industry of theater in D.C. to try to get noticed. She ended up getting some major parts in local theater productions but had to work odd jobs to earn a living as she landed roles in various short instructional industrial films. Then she was part of more television productions. She was often compared to Bea Arthur, whom she described as "very humorous," "sarcastic, and very intelligent" women. However, most of these roles were for short-run series that ended after just one or two seasons. Seehorn was chosen to play Kim Wexler in the Breaking Bad prequel series Better Call Saul in May 2014. Seehorn is Kim Wexler, a lawyer and the love-interest of the titular Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
