Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish: Born on 10th July 1972) is a Colombian American actress and television producer, as well as a presenter, and model. Vergara was America's highest-paid actor between 2013 and 2020. Vergara gained prominence hosting two Spanish-language programs on Univision in the latter half of the 1990s. Chasing Papi (2003) was her first role in a major role in English. Then, she was in Four Brothers (2006) and Tyler Perry's comedy Come to Jail (2008). She was nominated for an ALMA Award for the former. In 2009, she was able to begin as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the ABC comedy series Modern Family for which she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and eleven Screen Actors Guild Awards.Vergara was also featured in the movies The Smurfs (2011), New Year's Eve (2011), The Three Stooges (2012), Machete Kills (2013), Fading Gigolo (2013) Chef (2014) as well as Hot Pursuit (2015). Vergara also voiced the characters in animated films Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was also the highest-paid Hollywood actress in 2020[citation needed]. Vergara is America's Got Talent judge since 2020. Vergara was raised in Barranquilla by a Roman Catholic couple.  Her mother, Margarita Vergara de Vergara was a domestic worker, and her father, Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher for the meat industry. Her five siblings, and numerous cousins, she was called "Toti". Vergara was a former student at the National University of Colombia in dentistry. She left after two years to pursue opportunities in modeling and show business.
