Milena Govich

Milena Govich is a director, actor, and musician who has directed numerous episodes of TV, including The Equalizer (2021), Chicago Med (2015), FBI: Most Wanted (2020), Chicago Fire (2012) as well as other. She was also the Co-EP/Producing director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently a part of two pilots that are currently in the process of development. Milena was one of the eight women chosen by AFI for their prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. She was also a participant in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV show as well as a short film. It starred Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort, it won Best Episodic at Seattle International Film Festival as well as Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. The short film she made, Temporary (2017) has been shown across the nation, winning the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival, Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest and the Director's Choice Award at Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor Milena has been featured in more than 100 shows of television. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She was then the first and only female detective in Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have all featured her or recurred. Milena was also seen in a variety of films including Sordid Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She was also in the film with Method Man. Milena was born in Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian in her high-school, but before that, she completed a double major vocal performance and premed at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also named valedictorian. Her classical ballet training shortly after to stage her Broadway debut in the Rob Marshall/Sam Mendes production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.

She played Ainsley Hayes, a character in The West Wing's political drama (2000-2002 (2006)) and also played Det. Calleigh Duquesne in CBS's police procedural drama CSI Miami 2002-2012. Procter was born on the night of October 8th, 1968. She was adopted as a child by William Procter, a general practitioner, and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker.
